Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. ~James 1:27 |

The end of our trip was mostly uneventful. We left for the airport around 8:30 and stopped at a zoo along the way. They actually had racoons and deer on exhibit. They had 4 puma lions in a cage and there was a man in there cleaning the cage along with the lions. That would be too freeky for me, but the keeper didn't seem to mind it. Our flights were on time both ways and we made it home without incident. I planned to journal and sleep the whole way home and ended up doing neither. I am so fortunate to have been on three trips now, including one trip on my own. I have developed amazing relationships with people young and old and have been fortunate to see God work in their lives both during and between my trips. This really is a special place and I am fortunate that God chose me to be here these three times. I will continue to pray for all of the people that I met here and will pray that God calls me to come back on a future trip. There is much to be done in Honduras and it's foolish to think one person or one church or one church organization can completely reach this country or provide everyone with the means necessary for survival. What I/we can do is continue to send people to Honduras to impact one person at a time. God is doing amazing things on Honduras. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow |
