Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

There was no early devotional today so we got to “sleep in” until around 6:30. Breakfast was a bean sandwich. After breakfast, everyone needed to pack up everything and move their bags to a designated location based on the city to which they were traveling. Stevie and I put our bags with the others going to Choluteca. We had some down time during which I talked to Darlin (pictured below) and some others.

At 10:00, it was time for the final session, which consisted of the last round of Bible trivia and handing out a bunch of awards. We won the award for the cleanest cabin. Then we took some pictures, said our good-byes, loaded the bus for Choluteca, and headed off. The bus ride took 4 ½ hours. I sat next to Oscar on the bus. It was a fairly easy trip. Below is a picture of Pablo and me at the camp.

Upon arrival to Choluteca, and much warmer weather, we went to Boris & Nena’s house. Stevie and I shared a room with two double beds and air conditioning – perfect! We went to dinner at Boris’ church; it was a special Christmas dinner for the leaders of the church. The food was amazing; we had chicken, rice, bread, fruit salad, and torreja – the national Christmas dessert in Honduras. Since we were expecting to be at camp all week we didn’t have any nice clothes or razors, but it didn’t matter too much. We got home around 10:30 and went to bed to get some very much-needed sleep. Below is a picture of Boris and me taken at the church.
